Sculptures waiting for a bus

Sculptures are everywhere!

We may not notice them but once you start looking you find they are. Even in less populated areas you stumble across sculptures like the Willow Man on the A5.

But Cities are littered with Sculptures!

Frequently traditional busts and figures, memorials depicting noteable worthies associated with the place. Then there are my personal favourites , the contemporary pieces. Some where you wonder “What on earth is that?”.

The more avant garde catch my eye some are the not “real people” but recognisable as figures of some sort as well as the “What? How? Why? I need to touch it!” kind.

Like this pair of abstract figures by Lynn Chadwick, loitering on a street corner. Like sculptures waiting for a bus, and they’ve been waiting a looong time by the looks of them.

Instantaeous travel? No problem!

Like with art, the beauty of a virtual tour of London is anything is possible. You can go wherever you like and not worry about the sequence due to time or transport restrictions. So I thought these guys had waited long enough.

You can contrive to make things happen that may not always do so in reality.

There’s a saying you can wait ages for a bus then three turn up at once. Sometimes you have tip the balance

So, if you need a bus, one magically appears!
