The Haymarket corner painting was well travelled bfore it was finished. I started it in the Studio and had every intention of completing it there. Then I received a call from Anne Blankson Hemens of the Society of Women Artists asking if I could stand in for one of their demonstrators who was unwell and had to pull out.
So the Haymarket Corner painting went with me. Here it is on the easel
And a close up.
Domonstrations are always part fun and part nerve wracking. There’s always that fear that something will go wrong and you won’t be able to revover it. At the same time it can be delightful talking to people about your work and finding common areas of interest.
This is where I’d reached by the time I cot home.
Following a little more tweaking I was ready to remove the masking.
This painting is still available and can be found amongst my other paintings for sale.
