Cathy
Artist, author and Occupational Therapist, Cathy Read has been creating Abstract architecture paintings since 2010. Her art is exhibited around the UK, Europe, and is collected as far afield as Canada, Africa, and New Zealand. She appeared on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2016 and 2017. In 2021 Read was selected for the 20th international Art Exchange Exhibition in Chiba, Japan. Read regularly exhibits with the Society of Women Artists in London, being awarded the Barbara Tate Memorial Award in 2015. Her work is in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and various corporate collections, including Wetherspoons at Victoria Station and Bahlsen. She is currently combining her her skills to create a multisensory collection, watch this space for news. No stranger to a challenge, Read, and her husband, converted a chapel into their home, long before Grand Designs was a thing. They can often be found cruising the canals of Great Britain.
