Do you have days when you seem to get nothing done?
Me too!
Procrastination has got the better of me again this week…or two.
The snow isn’t helping. (Well we HAVE to test out the children’s new sledges!)
Then there’s the usual distractions. I do a bit then have to stop… OK then, get waylaid.
And when I return I decide what’s been done isn’t right so I redo it.
And so it continues…There’s no excuse really.
But that’s just what procrastination is …excuses.
Too many other things seem more important at the time but are not if you want to make progress. There’s nothing wrong with doing other things, it’s just balance is important. In other words,
The only cure for procrastination is just to get on with it. Steady applied focus is the only way forward.
So on Monday I took stock, wrote a task list and am now working my way through it. One step at a time. And here’s where I am.
It’s still a work in progress but, once I stop procrastinating, the Barbican painting is finally progressing.
I’m at the stage where I know it needs something more but haven’t figured out what yet.
Maybe I’ll finish by Saturday?
Update – I did and the finished painting has now sold but prints are avaiable in my shop.
Oh I can so relate.
The painting is coming along nicely.
