Piccadilly Bound – Original Painting

About the image:

Painting Trams in Manchester by the lovely Manchester Central Station. What more could I want, each brick lovingly created and celebrated. The renovation of the derelict Station was always going to be the right thing to do. These fabulous old landmarks should be preserved and repurposed into something of use to all to enjoy.

Creation: Masking fluid is painted onto watercolour paper to create an image. This is covered with a watercolour wash and covered with clingfilm. The picture is further developed using acrylic inks once the film is removed. The masking is removed after several layers are added and allowed to dry. Revealing the final picture.
