Framing: The painting is currently unframed, framing will be arranged in white frame with double mount off white and dark grey.  Please allow up to three weeks for framing. The painting is 22.5 cm high x 17.5 cm wide, framed size is approx 36cm high x 29cm wide.

Care: Display under glass. Keep painting away from moisture, heat and bright lights or direct sunlight

About the Image

Painting of a classic red telephone box hiding on a first floor landing at the the Business Design Centre, Islington, London. Seen through the ornate Victorian railings this watercolour and acrylic painting is a dramatic representation of an Icon of Britishness. Painted in Cathy’s unique and distinctive style.

Creation The picture is painted on watercolour paper. Cathy draws the lines with masking fluid to a planned arrangement before painting it with a watercolour wash which gets covered with clingfilm. Once this is removed the picture is further developed using acrylic inks which are left to dry before the masking is removed to reveal the final picture.
