Revealing a New Painting – The Life of London Churches

This painting has been slow progressing but worth it.

Watercolour on large scale has some unique challenges. Bigger brushes solves most.

But if I go much bigger I reckon I’m going to need longer straws!

I’ve deliberately kept the blown ink work away from St Paul’s.

I always see these as reflecting the spirit of the people within the building. Something I feel is lacking in these large ostentatious buildings.

The life of a church is in it’s people and its actions.

Not in the structures created.

Right, as we seem to have a major sporting event dominating everything. I might do something sporty next…

Wembley Stadium

Check back next week and see how it’s going!

(The new Olympic Stadium is on my list. Once I’ve got some images.)
